Our Story
Homesteading didn’t begin with acreage.
It began with a decision.
When most people picture a homestead, they imagine sprawling gardens, barns, and acres of land. That wasn’t our story.
Our journey began in a trailer park, living in a 1,200-square-foot mobile home, where we learned that homesteading isn’t defined by where you live. It’s defined by the choices you make every day.
We started preserving food, learning new skills, raising Coturnix quail, and building confidence one project at a time. Those small steps eventually led us to the property we now call home, but the lessons we learned at the beginning remain the foundation of everything we do.
That’s why Serene Homestead exists.
